The Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers was formed in 1982. The club currently enjoys a membership of 32 and meets at the 3 Rivers G&CC, Cold Norton, Essex at 7.30pm for 8pm each Tuesday (except following a public holiday). The club forms part of RIBI District 1240.

The Rotary Club have always been involved with the Fireworks Display along with other organizations in the town since the early 90`s but because of inability for other organizations to commit to the Fireworks, the Rotary club decided last 7 years to be the total organiser. In this period the attendance has grown from 1500 to close on 10,000 without major injuries due to using professional firework display companiesand constant Marshalling of the event.

All monies raised are used for Charity & or Community projects.

Please see programmes & main page for this years main charities, other local charities will not be forgotten & will benefit also from the Fireworks and the other Rotary activities we will be involved in over the next few months, such as Edwardian evening in November, Sleigh in December, & Swimarathon in March.
